CHARGING SOLUTIONS FOR YOUR ELECTRIC OR HYBRID CAR
UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
The kilowatt to know the power of the engine
The kilowatt (kW) allows you to know the power of the motor of your electric vehicle. It is multiplied by about 1.36 to get its horsepower.
For example, the Citroën ë-C4 Electric engine is 100 kW or 136 horsepower.
The kilowatthour to measure battery energy
The electric engine of a vehicle is supplied with energy by a battery whose capacity is expressed in kilowatt hours (kWh), ie the quantity of kW that the battery can supply per hour.
For example, the Citroën ë-C4 Electric battery contains 50 kWh of energy. This is equivalent to 50 liters of petrol.
The kilowatt to estimate charging time
The power of the charging stations varies from 3.7 kW to 22 kW for domestic stations and goes up to 100 kW, or even more, for public stations. The higher the measurement, the greater the power delivered. The higher the number of kW, the shorter the charging time.
For example, an 11 kW wall box can store 11 kW of energy. It therefore takes less than 5 hours to recharge the 50 kWh battery of the Citroën ë-C4 Electric.
EACH CHARGE ITS CABLE
Standard mode 2 cable
Reinforced mode 2 cable
Single-phase mode 3 cable
This cable can provide you with up to 7.4 kW of power. It can be used with a wall box installed at home or on a public charging station. Home charging on wall box allows you to get complete battery life in 2 hours for a plug-in hybrid vehicle and less than 1 night for an electric vehicle.
On a plug-in hybrid vehicle, you will need to take the 7.4kW on-board charger option to take advantage of this type of charging.
Three-phase mode 3 cable
Specific to electric vehicles, this cable can provide you with up to 22kW. It is compatible with both a single-phase installation (wall box 7.4kW) or three-phase (wall box 11kW) at home or at work. It is ideal for regular refills on public charging stations. On three-phase installations, it will allow you to enjoy better charging times.
To enjoy the benefits of this type of charging, your vehicle must be equipped with an 11kW on-board charger (optional).
PRIVATE RECHARGE AT HOME OR AT WORK
Recharging your hybrid vehicle: it's easy
You can quite load your vehicle onto a conventional home socket, with the domestic cable socket provided standard.
If you want a faster refill, opt for a reinforced socket or a wall box. Both have different characteristics:
● The wall box, the most powerful, can reduce your charging time to the maximum.
● The enhanced grip, on the other hand, represents a good compromise. More economical, it offers a lower charging than on the wall box.
With a 7.4 kW wall box socket
You recover 100% in less than 2 hours, or 55 km of electric range.
Autonomy in electric mode between 54 and 55 km depending on the options fitted to the car. Autonomy may vary depending on the actual conditions of use.
With a 3.7 kW reinforced domestic socket
You recover 100% in less than 4 hours, or 55 km of electric range.
Autonomy in electric mode between 54 and 55 km depending on the options fitted to the car. Autonomy may vary depending on the actual conditions of use.
With a classical domestic socket
You recover 100% in less than 7 hours, or 55 km of electric range.
Autonomy in electric mode between 54 and 55 km depending on the options fitted to the car. Autonomy may vary depending on the actual conditions of use.
RECHARGING YOUR HYBRID VEHICLE: IT'S EASY
There are several charging modes depending on the miles you travel daily and the charging solutions you also have outside your home.
● Wall box 7.4kW or 11kW: Installing a wall box charging station is the perfect solution if you want to take advantage of optimized charging time. Our partners are available to accompany you from audit to installation. This type of installation will allow you to benefit from government assistance.
● Reinforced domestic socket: Green'up type take. It's economical to install, so if you drive little and allows you to recover up to 60% of the load in 1 night.
● Standard take: A simple connection on a wall socket. It is not preferred for other electric vehicles because the charging times are long, up to 30% charge in 1 night. It can be used as an occasional charging solution. This is Citroen Ami's charging solution.
For Citroen-C4 ë-C4 Electric, you have several charging choices:
● Public recharge 100kW: 80% of the load in 30 minutes;
● Wall box 11 kW: 5h;
● Wall box 7.4 kW: 7h30;
● Green'up reinforced domestic socket: 4h30 for 100km or 9 hours for 100km on a standard domestic outlet.
For ë-SpaceTourer Electric vehicle, you have several charging choices:
● Public recharge 100kW: 80% in 30 minutes for a 50kWh battery and 45 minutes for a 75kWh battery;
● Wall box 11kW: 4h45 to 7h00 depending on battery size;
● Wall box 7.4kW: 7h30 to 11h20 depending on battery size;
● Green'up reinforced plug: up to 60% charge in 1 night.
